FACTS
Why we exist
The LEVEL Foundation exists to change a child’s life early, confidently, and for the long term. Too many children with dyslexia are spotted too late and supported too little. By the time help arrives, confidence has often taken a hit. That’s not the child’s fault — it’s a system problem. LEVEL was created to help fix it.
why
Jack's story
I grew up believing I was stupid.
At school, I became the class clown, using humour to hide how much I was struggling. That’s the reality for too many children with dyslexia — identified too late, misunderstood for too long, labelled before they’re supported. By the time help comes, confidence is already damaged. I was lucky. My parents fought to get me the right support. But for them it was confusing, exhausting — and expensive. I don’t want any child to feel stupid. I don’t want any parent to feel guilty because they can’t afford help. The LEVEL Foundation exists to make sure children get support before they lose belief in themselves.
I was told I was stupid. If fighting for children’s confidence is stupid, I’m okay with that.

THE LEVEL FOUNDATION PROGRAMME
Our solution
01
Building understanding & removing fear
We begin with an engaging, age-appropriate school assembly, led by Jack or one of our Ambassadors, designed to help children understand that everyone learns differently and that assessments are simply a way to support their learning — nothing to be afraid of.
Identifying anyone who needs support early
Each school receives the Talamo app to deliver whole-class assessments in under an hour. The process is quick, inclusive and fully classroom-based — with no stigma and no singling anyone out. Once completed, schools gain clear, child-specific insights alongside practical, easy-to-apply recommendations for teachers, parents and SENCOs.

Helping teachers to support dyslexic children
A LEVEL dyslexia specialist leads a dynamic INSET day workshop, equipping staff with the confidence, practical strategies and ready-to-use classroom tools they need to effectively support pupils identified as requiring additional help.
Supporting parents at home
Parents of children who need extra help receive access to Talamo’s parent support app, so support doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Families gain the confidence, knowledge, and reassurance they need to help their child thrive at home.
